Update on Kyoto

Kyoto stairsWe’re getting close to final preparations for the NATHIST portion of the Kyoto conference. Here are some things you should see.

Invitation to the 34th Ordinary General Assembly
Dear ICOM members,

I am pleased to invite you to the 34th Ordinary General Assembly (GA), which will take place on 7 September 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (local time), in the Main Hall of the Kyoto International Conference Center (Kyoto ICC) in Kyoto, Japan.

You are also kindly invited to consult the ICOM membership space on the ICOM website where all the working documents and annexes related to this meeting will be posted in due course. As usual, a paper copy of the working documents will be distributed on 7 September 2019, starting at 8:30 a.m.

ICOM NATHIST Session Program

This program is complete except for the Session Chairs (in Japanese “session combiners”). These have been identified but yet to be assigned to session. If you are a speaker, please check the final document (at the conference) and contact your Session Chair before your session, to confirm that you know where you are supposed to be and that you have handed in your presentation materials.

Offsite meeting in Osaka

Our offsite meeting will be in Osaka. It is necessary to register for this meeting separately. This is an excellent destination for us, as it houses an important natural history museum, which will be our host for this part of the conference. At this meeting, we will have a meeting of the Anthropocene Working Group, led by Dr. Nicolas Kramar. To find out more about the group, follow this link.
